Hi all

I am hoping to get a concensus vote on how to spend my hard earned, I am in the UK and looking to spend a total of $1492.00 (£1000) on switch(es) in order to build a reasonably modern lab in order to advance skills and provide high performance to my ESXi environment.

What would you recommend based on current offerings on ebay.co.uk (more expensive than the US unfortunately), I am looking for:

1. 10GbE technology, ideally 4 port 10GbE to run my 2 x ESXi hosts plus my SAN

2. OpenFlow / VXVLAN / SDN support if possible

3. Modern tech / Juniper / Cisco etc

4. Suitable CNAs which are compatible with any switch(es) recommendations for 2 x ESXi hosts

What do you think?

Appreciate any input based on current ebay.co.uk auctions etc
