I am looking for a great pump that uses 1/4" Id hose or something that I could use with reducers?

I've heard good things about the Aqua Computer Aquastream and the Innovatek pump, but own neither. Also, a Liang DDC would work well too. You can get the Alphacool version that has interchangeable fittings.

Basically, you need a pump with good head pressure since you're using small tubing.

QFT on the AlphaCool DDC...
 
u can use either 1/2 or 1/4 on pumps b4 u check out u'll be given the option to pick w/c size barbs u want.
