I have a Creative Nomad II 128 mb Mp3 player that is driving me crazy.

I loaded mp3's onto it when I first got it now I can't access it in Windows. When I plug the USB cable into it, WinXP makes the "Ka-Dunk" sound but I can't find the drive anywhere. I can't access it to change the songs!

Creatives software also can't find the drive when its plugged in either. I went to their website and I can't find this problem anywhere in their support section.

Anybody have any insight into this?

PS: I am running an Asus A7N8X board and using a PCI USB expansion board. I had trouble with the USB on the mobo. ( Guess this is a issue with this MB)

Do other usb devices work?

Try reinstalling the nvidia nforce drivers.

My Nomad IIc doesn't cooperate well, either. It will detect and mount through Windows Media Player, but the AutoPlay system detects it four times. :(

Did you download and install the drivers from Creative's site?
