I got about 80$ max to spend on a video card for an HTPC built I am working on. This is for my parents for Xmas. I have a Core 2 Duo E7200 passive in a silverstone case, 4gb ram, 128gb SSD, and only need a Video card with HDMI out that can pass Audio over HDMI also. 80$ is the max I can spend. Thx for any advice!

Literally any card (ever) with HDMI will do what you want.

I'd avoid just buying whatever's in the bargain bin, because you never know if older cards will have Windows 10 drivers. So get the GeForce 710., it's their latest low end card .

who said anything about windows 10? he said passive, hdmi with audio and $80 max. I went to newegg, ticked the boxes for him and pasted the link.
Good point.. I didn't think to mention Windows 10 and even if I didn't mention it I would hope whatever I buy works with Windows 10 just for future proofing.

ok, then heres a new newegg list with dx11/12 cards only, passive, hdmi and under $80. any of them will work and the 710 he mentioned is only $33 but there is a 5450 for $10 after rebate w/ free shipping, sale end in 13 hrs.
