Help with overclocking!

Hi....I would like some help in overclocking by setting my memory card to the correct timing...I read that motherboards set memory cards to default setting 1333

This will be my first time Overclocking!...Are these O.C Mobo's set themselves up to the correct timing after turning O.C nob???

* MSI 890FXA-GD70 AMD3
* Corsair Dominator 8GB (2GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz

Can anyone help me with this I appreciate the help...

My specs are right under this :

1) CPU-Z will tell you the bus speed at which your memory is currently operating, you will have to double this number to find out the actual RAM speed since you are using DDR. (i.e, 800 MHz bus speed x 2 = 1600 MHz effective speed)

2) Learn about your BIOS by:
a) reading the manual
b) going into the BIOS menu
c) looking on the web for information on how to overclock and how to set BIOS menu settings

The auto-detect will only see 1333 or 1066 with the AMD CPUs even if you are using JEDEC DDR3-1600 RAM. Moreover, those particular Dominators are not true 1600-speed parts, but are native DDR3-1333 parts that have been tested at 1600 speed. Moreover, you might not be able to run those Dominators at any faster than 1066 speed because you're loading all four DIMM slots with double-ranked modules (AMD officially supports only up to 1066 speed if you're using four DIMMs instead of just two). That means that if you want 1600 speed on that AMD platform, you will have to set the speed, timings and voltages manually.
