I think its finally time after 3 years i overclock my 965. Keep in mind I have never overclocked a CPU.

I went in the bios and can set the clock speed to 4,00 ghz but do i leave the rest on auto such as voltage,FSB, and everything else for the mobo to calculate?

this is my system info

Motherboard: Gigabyte 790FXTA-UD5
Processor: AMD 965 Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz Deneb model 4, stepping 3
Cooler master V8 heatsink

i went ahead and clocked it to 20x 4.0ghz. I put the Voltage on 1.45 becuase on AUTO it was 1.52 when i ran it for 2 hours

also put the north ridge to 2.4 instead of default 2.0. (did no changes to it's voltage)
