Help with overclocking ati mobility 9000.

I just got a small portable laptop with the mobility 9000. I have the centrino package, and the centrino hardware controller which lets me up the cards core and memory. Ive increased it slowly from the 220/200 stock, and it has shown some good increases in my 3dmark2001se scores. I dont really know how much more I can oc the card without it gettin fried. One of the sensors is showing the cards temps at 52* C currently, and the critical temp at 102* C.

So can anyone help me with this, or maybe point me out towards a testing program that tests the stability of the OCed card. Or should I just pretty much increase the power slightly and test it out in a game or two untill it crashes?
 
You probably wouldn't want to try overclocking a mobility graphic card to much. If your laptop senses it to be to hot it will shut off itself.
 
Buahahah im doing this with my 9600 pro turbo, it RAN @ 437/275 for about 2 minutes, then shut off, oh yea, stock is 338/243 lol
it runs stable @ 400/280 but the card gets warm, its more the memory OC as theres no physical cooling on the card, just a heatpipe from the GPU so the memory just bakes and gets hotter and hotter so if you leave that lower you can increase clock speeds pretty far..

I was just overclocking my mobility 9000 for the first time the other day. I was very surprised how high it clocked. Use the "ATI Tool" it works great and will automatically tell you what your max overclock is.

I have ATI Tray Tool - similar, but its auto OC just lets it run the 3d generator, and then puases it, and waits for the heat to build up, but during the pause, it cools down, then steps up the clocks again, but as the clocks get higher, it renders less and less before the "heat up cycle"
the problem with this is that for the GPU it will tend to cause overrunning, i once had it tell me i could run @ 450mhz - as soon as you tried to do anything for more than 5 seconds it would shoot past 100C
this is similar to the memory, which seems to have no cooling on the 9600 mobilities, and where i found my limit, i can Oc the GPU very far manually, as i said *400 stable w/ CS:S for over 2 hours* but the memory just keeps making heat that doesnt go away, so the temps slowly climb higher and higher, and faster with higher clocks, so i went with a higher GPU and lower memory. works well, i might go higher when im feeling daring..but ATI Tool suffers the same general problem ive let it try to find the max and its no where near as high as i can go when you let it sit for hours as the heat from the memory gets to it, or if you dont let it sit long enough clocks them to high and then your game will freeze :(
