Motherboard:- Abit an8 ultra (NF4)
Cpu :- A64 3500+
Memory :- Gskill PC3200 2-3-2-5 Dual Channel

I can get my cpu up to about 2.7GHz prime stable, but am a bit confused with my memory settings.

By my calculations setting my memory to ddr333 in the bios with my HTT at 240 should give me a memory frequency of 199.8 MHz (333/400 *240=199.8).
Well cpuz (and everest) say my memory is running at 188.8 MHz.

I'm obviously missing something here, anyone fill me in please.

Gagh!
Just worked out that the memory freq isnt worked out like that.

multiplier * (1/memory divider)= X

core speed/X =memory freq

so.....

11*(6/5)=13.2 (round up to 14)

2643/14=188

Cool!

unfortunatly it means I'll have to hit 2.8 GHz to get my memory to run at 200 MHz

Not that it's going to make a big difference but its the principle! :)
