I have stopped at 3675 GHz and I think I should be able to get closer to 4 GHz. My setup is listed in my sig. Currently using WinXP Pro. Here are the settings I changed:

---Ai Tweaker---
Manual
CPU Ratio = 21.0
Speedstep = Enabled
BCLK Freq = 175
PCIE Freq = 100
DRAM Freq = DDR3-1754MHz (my mem is 1600 and rated at 1.65v)
CPU Volt = 1.34375
CPU PLL Voltage = 1.90
QPI/Dram Core Volt = 1.35
Dram Bus Volt = 1.64
CPU Diff Amplitude = 800 mV
All others set to AUTO

---Advanced---
C1E Spt = Disabled
Intel Virt Tech = Disabled
CPU TM Function = Disabled
A20M = Disabled
Intel C-state Tech = Disabled
All others are enabled

---Power---
ACPI 2.0 support = Enabled
ACPI APIC Support = Enabled

As I said, I think this should go much higher, although maybe not. The way I tested, I booted into WinXP and then used Asus Turbo V to increase the BCLK. I got up to 185 when it just rebooted. I haven't yet tested Prime95. By the way, I don't think the problem is heat because along the way I ran P95 when I had the BCLK at 160 (3360 MHz) and it was P95 stable for 2 hours and the temp was only 58°C and at idle the temp was 35°C. This was using RealTemp.
Any ideas on what to try next?

Just quickly looking at your settings...

It might be your RAM. Are you certain that your particular kit can run at a frequency of 1754MHz @ 1.65v? Try lowering the RAM multiplier and setting it at 1600MHz (the rated frequency for that kit) or lower.

Other things I would suggest:
1. Perhaps a lower CPU ratio. Some chips don't like the 20 or 21 multipliers.
2. Is it a C0 or D0 chip? Vcore seems ok, but you may have to push the chip higher if its a C0. No 4GHz overclock is guaranteed.

1) for the ram settings, I chose the 1754 because the next one down was 1400 something. Maybe if I choose a 19 or 18 multiplier that will change.
2) It is a D0 SLBEJ chip

I understand that 4GHz is not guaranteed. I just want to make sure I am doing everything right as there are so many choices in the BIOS. It's not as easy as increasing the FSB, the way it used to be.

Edit: Just trying to think of why my 920 may not be able to go further:
1) I don't have the proper settings for my system. I have read several articles, but most have other BIOS settings than what I see in my BIOS, so is very confusing. Asus also names things so as to make it confusing, or so it seems.
2) I bought my 920 at Micro Center at a very reasonable $199. Are these the ones I have read about that are bin sorted? That is, are these rated as lower performers than others?

When I Oc'ed my 920 to 3.33ghz with ht and turbo on, I set my ram to the first XMP profile by accident  which is 1600mhz. Turned my computer on, and it was running at 95c on idle, lol. So went back and turned it to auto...went down to 1267mhz or something around that. Running at 37c on idle now.

No, I've never heard of Microcenter CPUs being worse performers. I would suggest lowering the RAM frequency and changing the multiplier/BCLK combination. It's more than likely that your RAM simply cannot run at 154MHz above its rated speed.

Thanks, I will try that tonight. As I read my last post, I didn't mean to slam MC. They have some really good prices on lots of things and I love to go there. I feel like a kid in a candy store when there.

Looking at the OP's specs, I see he's using Speedstep. Are most people leaving it on or off?

It's up to you whether or not you want to leave it on. I usually turn it on after I have found a stable overclock since it reduces the CPU wattage when the computer is idle (or not running many processes) and correspondingly lowers the energy consumption of the CPU.

I have a very similar setup (I have the P6T SE though) and here are my settings:

Multi: 20x (4405Mhz when in Windows)
BCLK: 210
DRAM: 1683
Intel Speed Step: On
Turbo: On
CPU Volt = 1.35625
CPU PLL Voltage = Auto
QPI/Dram Core Volt = 1.375
Dram Bus Volt = 1.68
CPU Diff Amplitude = Auto
CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled
CPU Clock Skew: 100ms
IOH Clock Skew: 100ms

DRAM: 8-8-8-24

Well here is an update. It started out as if I was really going to be disappointed. I tried several of the things suggested, but it boiled down to not being able to go above a BCLK of 165. I tried several multipliers from 14 to 21, all rebooting at about 165. By the way, the way I tested was to start at 150 and use TurboV and increase the BCLK by 2 and wait 5 minutes and repeat until it crashed. I even put the BIOS at stock and only adjusted the BCLK and the multiplier. Since that was the case, I was going to see how far I could go with a multi of 21. I just started increasing 3 or 4 at a time. When I got to 180, I rebooted and set the BIOS to 180 (still at 21 multi). I kept going until I got to 191, which is about 4GHz. Then it rebooted. I set it back to 180 x 21, which is 3780. It has been about 10 minutes without any problem running P95. I will let it run all night then repeat until I get a failure. BTW, the CPU temp is at 65°C.

It almost seems as if I needed to just burn everything in before trying to OC. Once I determine a stable setting, I may try and do more tweaking to see what the max is I can get.
