Hey right now i have a pentium 4 3.0 ghz pc wit a ati 9600 sec 256MB APG 8X video card. I really want to know how to overclock them. I dont want to be outrageous but i want to overclock with stabilty and be able to use it to. I will have a case wit 6 x 80 mm fans and could get another fan for the vid. card if needed. Please help.

Here is my PC specs/info for the processor.

about the video card. Will i notice that much perforance increase and will that hurt any of my other compnents by o.c the video card?

well w/ any oc'ing you run the risk of doing damage, also it usually voids warrenties

with the disclaimer out of the way,
i noticed a big difference when i oc'ed my 9600 (stock: 325 core 205 mem oc'ed: 486 core 333mem), the good thing about ati tool is it does it automatically by scanning for artifacts, but what i do, and others suggest is take the max MHz found by ati tool and back off of them by 5-10 mhz(just to be safe)

well i cmpared your to mine and i acutally have a 9600xt. with the core at 500 and memory at 300. Should i go any higher do you believe?

you shouldnt have any problem, but from what i have read in other post the 9600xt is pretty much at the limit of what the chip can do, i think you can expect about 25MHz on the core,
but i think all 9600xt's came with good memory so you should be able to get more out of that memory

i think some 9600xt's came with a temp probe, if yours does keep an eye on it, other than that good luck
