I've been out of the loop for several months and am building a lower-mid priced rig to do some gaming. I have picked up a P5Q Pro motherboard this week and just grabbed a E8200 at Microcenter today for $99. I'm not sure what my basic overcoocking settings should be and if I should get 4gb of ddr2 1066 or 800 for the chip I got. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
(FWIW the rest of my system is a Corsiar 620 psu, WD 640gb, Asus P5Q Pro, Xigmatek Dark Knight, and will be buying the memory and a XFX 4890 this week for gaming at 1080p on my 61 tv. )

The E8200 has an 8x multiplier, so you'll want at least DDR2-1000 or DDR2-1066 RAM to get the most out of your chip, like Jospeh suggested. Overclocking should be fairly simple; just raise your FSB, and your voltages to go along with it when necessary. As long as you're not aiming for anything too crazy, that should be enough. If you need any specific help once you've got everything together, just start a thread and someone will walk you through it.
