My uncle ordered a refurbished computer to replace the old one at his shop. Today I picked it up so that I could load all his shop software and use the cable internet at my house to update windows and such. Well when I turned it on it took pretty long to do anything, then just came up with an error message "operating system not found" Ok so I get my windows xp home disk out, since there was a serial on the top of case and it supposed to be installed already I figure I'll just do a fresh install. Well it takes about 10 minutes to actually get to the windows set up screen, then after sitting at the intial screen for a few minutes, it goes to one of those dark blue screens about invalid page something. So I figure the memory is probably shot, but I'm not sure. So what do you guys think it is, memory, hard drive, something else?
