Hey.. Was hoping someone here could help me with something that's been bugging me with my X800 XT AIW..
First off Im nuts with text being real clear and having the proper brightness and contrast not just on games I play, but also when it comes to everyday use like browsing the web and writing emails to viewing porn... I just got this X800 XT to replace my aging Geforce 3 ti200, I'm real happy with it except for a couple of things... I have my desktop set to a certain Brightness, Contrast and Gamma setting where I could read even the smallest text. But all these settings "get reset" everytime I reboot the computer or exit a game I'm playing, my monitor gets REAL bright, all the colors becomes washed out that it's almost impossible to read most text, and for me to get it the Proper Setting back again, I have to go to Display Properties, then the Catalyst Control Panel and then Click on Color which reapplies the settings I had before it got reset (No Adjustments needed, they stay intact) click okay and everything is fine again... Until I reboot or play a game..
I've tried setting a different Profile for my Desktop and 3D under the Display Properties and then Color tab in the Catalyst Control Panel (used to use Catalyst Control Center but was crashing often) Tried removing my Adobe Gamma Loader, used different versions of the driver, the one that came with the CD and the latest one you can download.
So do any of you guys know how I can fix this? Please let me know. Thanks a bunch
