This isnt one of those am i too hot threads but i was just wondering what my problem is

I have my watercooling setup and i am using a heatercore for a radiator and i have 2 antec 80 mm fans cooling it

and under load the temps are at like 38-39, i know thats not bad and im not worried about it but i used to get 30-32 load with my sk-7 so thats what i am wondering

YOu guys have any suggestions that i do to improve my temps?

More info about my system, eheim 1250 home made pvc res and 1/2in tubing, this is cooling a 2500 at 2.2

please help

thanks

Why only 80mm fans on the heatercore? Like every heatercore Ive seen people use can support at LEAST a 120mm on each side. Are you using a shroud on the heatercore currently? If I were you I would upgrade to 2 120mm fans and make sure you use a shroud on each side of the heatercore and you should see a decrease in temps as I would venture a guess that your rad just isnt getting enough airflow through it now.

for a previous question i have a maze three and i used coolerfaster premium thermal compound

ya thats what i was going to do

use two 120mm fans

thanks

You could also try lapping the base of the waterblock. But make sure you've done your homework before attempting such a task. Try it out first on an old junk HSF...
