Help with my new build

I haven't had a major upgrade on my gaming rig since 2007, except for a ATI 4870X2 in 2008.

Ive decided to build my self a new PC. I have been looking up parts for the last week, here is what I think is best for me.

CPU: AMD FX8120 (if price is under 300$)
MB: ASUS Crosshair V AMD 990FX
GPU: XFX ATI HD 6950 2GB (might by a second, when prices go down)
RAM: Mushkin Frostbyte 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-12800
SSD: undecided ( sata 3, with at least 256 GB, either 2x128 or 4x64 RAID 0)
(I'll be using a SSD for OS boot and BF3 and some other games, but user folder,program data and most other programs on WDC 1 TB Black HD)
Heatsink: undecided

1) What will you be doing with this PC?

Gaming, BF3 mostly. I have other computers for the other stuff...

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

About 1200$ CAD

3) Which country do you live in?

Montreal, Canada

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?

CPU, MB, RAM, SSD, GPU, Heatsink

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?

PSU: PC Power & Cooling Quad 750 Watt ( 4 years old, 60A single rail, still has 1 year warranty)
HDD: WDC 1TB Black edition SATA 2
Sound Card: X-Fi Xtreme Music PCI (might remove it, since BF3 supports software audio only)
Case: Cooler Master Stacker

6) Will you be overclocking?

Nope, I'm done overclocking. Maybe some basic memory timing ajustement.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?

Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 1920x1200 ( 6 years old, not one dead pixel)

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

Next 30 days.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard?
RAID? Yes
Firewire? Yes
Crossfire or SLI support? Crossfire only, I'm a ATI fan boy.
USB 3.0? Yes
SATA 6Gb/s? Yes
eSATA? No
Onboard video? No

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?

Yes, I have a unused Win7 x64 Pro licences.

If anybody can comment on this build or report possible issues, I would be very grateful. I also need advice on a good heatsink and SSD.

Check prices on an i5 2500k, Z68 or P67 motherboard, DDR3 1333 2x4GB RAM, Crucial M4 series SSD, 6950 2GB GPU (6970 if you have the money after adding everything up) and a cooler master 212+ cooler.

If you are committed to Bulldozer, you're going to have to wait for a while to get any help with the build - pretty hard to give advice on unreleased hardware.

ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Z68 199,99$ (is there anything better for gaming ?)
DDR3 1333 2x4GB is same price as the 1600 2x4GB around 50$
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus is 24,99$ ( that was y first choice)
Crucial M4 Micron C400 SSD 256GB 384,99$ or Crucial M4 Micron C400 SSD 128GB 169,99$
XFX ATI HD 6950 2GB is 269,99 or XFX ATI HD 6970 2GB is 349,99$ ( i rather save the 70$ and buy a second 6950 later on)

Comes up too about 1200$ with tax and shipping, lol.

What I like about the new AMD FX, is they have better multi-thread support. BF3 will use up too 8 cores if needed. And I honestly believe 'm paying more with Intel, but getting less....

No need to spend that much money on a motherboard when this one will meet all your requirements.

$140.99 - MSI P67A-G45 (B3) P67 ATX LGA1155

For a single display setup, crossfire really isn't recommended when it's a lost more cost effective to just buy a single fast GPU such as the 6970. So take the $60 you saved on the motherboard and put it towards the 6970, you'll be glad you did.

Right now, if the budget allows you can't go wrong with an i5 2500k processor especially at a $215 price point as it pretty much tops everything AMD has to offer, as of right now.
