ALright, so i bought a comp from abspc.com about a year and a half ago. Up to this point its worked perfectly, never had the slightest problem. Now all of a sudden, whenever i try to look at things on the internet the web pages load extremely slow. Just to load up google takes literally 5 minutes. I would think this would be my internet connection, but i have plugged in other computers to the same cable line and they have all worked fine.

Just about 20 minutes ago my computer crashed and when i tried to restart it, it didnt recognize that the hard drive was in the computer and it asked me to insert it. I turned the computer off for about 10 minutes and then started it up again and it loaded fine. So now im wondering if there is some problem with my hard drive that is causing my internet to go very slow?

could be unrelated problems, could be related, let's start with basic questions.

Have you run Adaware and Spybot? The internet problem could very easily be spyware(could be other things too, but first step, go to cnet.com, and download/run those two)

As for the HDD on boot up, could be a couple of things, 1) when the computer crashed, the disk was still spinning, and when it reset, the HDD hadn't come to a stop, and then restarted yet(In otherwords, it's a problem that you shouldn't have again) if the problem happens again you might have more serious problems.

Hopefully that'll get you started. If Firefox(or IE if you still use that POS) still runs slow after the Adaware/Spybot thing, give more details.
