I recently flashed my BIOS and am starting to OC from scratch. I am trying to set my memory timings before I start upping my FSB but I am not getting very good results. Before I had the timings set at 11 2 2 2.5 and was doing fine in memtest. Now I am getting errors in memtest with WAY looser timings. I upped my Vdimm to 2.8 and it didnt help.

Any suggestions?

Im am still very new to this.

Hi.

Well what kind of memory do you have...some memory simply can't run looser timings. You say that your memory was at 2-2-2-5? That means you most likely have the very rare and sought after winbond bh5 chips in use on your memory. Do you have corsair pc3500, mushkin pc3200 or 3500, kingston pc3000 or pc3500, or OCZ 3500EL? If so, you have very nice memory. Now the memory that I mentioned above, can't handle cl3. it has to be run tighter. For example, my mushkin can do 534mhz 2020205 but can't do it 3-2-2-5. Some memory chips just don't support looser timings.
