Help With HP envy 14 touchpad!

Hey Guys,

I recently purchased an HP envy 14. Everything is great on it, however the synaptic touchpad doesn't recognize more than 1 finger on it, so I can't scroll or zoom with 2-3 fingers. I have updated the drivers for the touch pad but to no avail. I have googled the problem and can't find any answers.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Have you gone into Control Panel > Mouse > Synaptics and played with driver settings there?

Are you using the generic Synaptics drivers? Try those if you haven't.

You can also try other manufacturer's drivers (Acer 1810T and maybe Dell Studio 1555 uses Synaptics and has multifinger support). Make a system restore checkpoint before trying out drivers just in case anything goes wrong.
 
Yes, I tried downloading the drivers from the synaptic website.

I haven't tried the Dell drivers yet.

I'm just rather frustrated that it doesnt work right out of the box :(
