1st test the drives with the WD LifeGuard Tools for any problems
then run them for a while and log the SMART attributes HDD Health (Freeware)
a SMART monitoring utility

all else being equal, you need to weight the potential money to be made for a given drive against its total capcity, and then heavily favor the one with the warranty

the SATA drives are going to have a very slight efficiency advantage (note thats efficiency not performance) but they will have a massive advantage in data integrity (all else being equal)
