Help with GTA:SA glitch (ps2)

Well, im home from college, and bored out of my mind. So i decided to play some GTA:SA. But the problem is: the controls are inverted. It turns out that my little brother used cheats and saved, and as a result, the game is now "glitched". Any possible way to fix it? It seems that the glitch has nothing to do with the saved games, because i started a new game without the memory card, and i still get the glitch. So, it must be the disk or something. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

tried that, that doesnt work.. :( and that option is for invert look, NOT invert controls.
 
Wait, you're experiencing this without a memory card when booted? If so, it can't be because of your brother's savegame.

Have you tried any other games? Maybe there is something wrong with your controller...

yes, even WITHOUT memory card.. its does this with ONLY GTA:SA.. socom3 works fine. Its wierd.
 
i had the same this don't remember what fixed it thou , i think i presses the button under start and went to control settings
 
i thought gta:sa ps2 was always inverted as default and you couldnt change it. i havn't played it in some time, so i probably have no idea what i'm talking about.

in my game, the controls are as follows: to walk forward, you have to move the analog stick down. To go back, you must move the analog up. To go left, you must move the analog stick right. To go right, you must move the analog stick left. Hope that clears stuff up..
 
you have to play upside down!!! i thought you read that in the manual
