kay, I haven't posted here in about 4 years when I was building my last computer. I am now building a decent computer, but the only thing that i am out of the loop on is what mobo to buy to best suit my accompanying hardware. This computer is 98% for gaming. I just need help on mobo selection. Here is the hardware that i have in mind or bought already:
-2GB PC6400 800Mhz CL4 RAM (bought)
-SATA seagate 320 GB HDD (bought)
-PC Power and cooling 610W PSU (bought)
-Samsung SATA DVD-RW (bought)
-Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield /w Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro HSF (not bought)
-Nvidia 8800 GTX 768MB (not bought)
Soooo, there is all my hardware except case and mobo. I was thinking about oging without a case for awhile if i had a pricey mobo with a power switch on it. I want to have more than 3 GB of RAM at some point, be able to overclock my Q6600 and RAM, and also buy an additional video card down the line as well. So i think i am looking at an nvidia chipset that supports SLI. But what the hell should i buy. I will pay up to 300 dollars for this mobo but if anyone has any ideas as to what mobo I should use for overclocking and gaming, I would appreciate the input. Thank you
