Okay here is my situation....

I have a ati radeon x300se with 128mb not the best but it has dvi and vga...so i went out and bought a sony 32" monitor and the sony monitor has hdmi on it only...so i went out and bought a dvi-to-hdmi cable and when i hook it up its horrible quality...there is a picture but just horrible i was wondering if anyone knows why. I know it cannot be the card because i went out and bought a higher end one just to try (nvidia 6800). If anyone knows anything about tv's is it because video cards dont support HDCP? Or whats the deal? Now im stuck using the vga its not bad...but digital is digital.

Thank you for your help guys.
