Situation: A friend has a Dell Dimension 8300 and has installed a GeForce 6600 GT Videocard, and apparantly needs a beefier PSU than the stock unit. Looking at Dell's site and the online docs concering its replacement, apparantly it attaches only using a couple scews versus the 4 that are normally used. Also, I don't think the case has a normal cutout and the PSU mounts inside the case, and apparantly no spot for the on/off switch thats on most decent PSU's.

All this is unseen by me save the online docs since the freind is from another area. Question is, Can anyone suggest a replacement quality power supply >350w that will fit in his case and have enough juice for his new video card..

The OTHER problem (if you needed more) is that most Dell's are not actually ATX. They use an ATX-type connector, but the leads are different.

Yea, Came across that earlier, Thats the price he's gotta pay for buying an off the shelf system :(
