Hi, so i just did a quick rebuild of my system into a new case, and by quick i mean i haven’t done any cable management. So after installing and connecting everything i power up my system only to find that the cooler logo and the fans don’t work.... Quickly check on Corsair Link and it doesn’t register my cooler.
So i change the fans, and change the usb header (cable running from cooler to usb header)....but still nothing.
Hooked the fans to fan controller and they work so no problem there.
Change the cable and hooked it up to an usb at the back of the mobo, still nothing.
Can’t clearly remember but i think i didn’t get a reading on the pump speed (cpu fan speed header).
Now nothing has changed, in fact i didn’t even remove the cooler initially, but thought i might as well change the TIM.

What connectors do you have hooked up out of the h80i? Mine had a fan connector (for pump speed control/monitoring), sata power, propreitary connector going out to the fans (was difficult to connect after installing the pump, make sure it's in all the way), and the USB cable (for controling the lights and fan speed--does not provide power, they should work fine without it)

I managed to do pretty much the same thing with my h100i when i accidentally somehow managed to connect the rpm pin on the cooler to 12v pin on the motherboard (was doing that in a very small case and couldn't see inside it that well). It fried the "i" part inside the cooler - pump runs, but when connected to the usb it is not recognized at all and the led blinks like crazy. Maybe you did something like that as well. Otherwise - check connections.

Okay, it would seem that the pump itself works, but the mobo cant detect the pump connected to one of the cpu fan pins (tried both pins), and neither does corsair link detect it. I have change the usb connections to both usb headers still nothing. I have found the it still has warranty till 2020 so think ill just send it back. Before I RMA it ill reinstall Corsair Link, who knows
