Hi I was just hoping to run a few ideas past you guys before I go ahead and spend my hard earned $$$.
Please give me a break if any of them sound stupid
I've been wanting to get some more airflow going through my SG01 as I'm upgrading to sandybridge/HD6950 or GTX560 and don't think the 3 80mm fans will cut the mustard.
I've decided the best way to improve airflow would be to install exhaust fans on the top of the case and intake fans on the side/s . Either 3x 120mm fans on the sides and 6x 120mm fans on the top or 2x 180mm fans on the sides and 2x 180mm fans on the top. I suppose I could also do a combination of the above.
Now if I keep my ATX PSU I will have to mount the top fans externally and I wont be able to mount any intake fans on the CPU side of the case. I could fix this by removing the HDD bay completely and buying the Silverstone SFX PSU and placing it where the HDD bay was.
Now for the questions
.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
P.S. for 120mm fans I was considering using either these - http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...ge=product_info&cPath=36_49&products_id=29337 or these - http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...ge=product_info&cPath=36_49&products_id=30012 as exhausts with a fan controller and these - http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=24747 as intakes

- If I kept the ATX PSU would the 3x 120mm intakes & 6x120mm exhausts be enough to cool the components?
- What configuration (120mm vs. 180mm vs. Mix) would be the best?
- Can anyone recommend a good 180mm fan? I was considering Silverstone Airpenetrators as intakes but some people have said they aren't very good?
- Is it better to have slow intakes/less intakes and faster/more exhausts?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
