Help with controller card and onboard SATA

I am at wits end. I used to have my SiI0680 ATA133 controller card and my SATA working on my GA-SINXP. The SATA drive died and I got a new one from WD. My problem is if I disable the SATA in the bios, the controller card finds my two 2 drives on the controller card attached. When I try to enable the SATA the controller card dosen't find anything. I also have another drive on the PATA controller on the board. Can anyone think of a reason or work around so the Controller card recognizes the two drives and have the SATA enabled? Thanks for the help.
