Help with Comcast TC8305C Modem

I'm having issues with my TC8305C router/modem. I'm not able to access the modem control panel. And this is causing me to not be able to port forward. I've tried directly connecting my PC to the 1st Ethernet port on the router and connecting to 10.0.0.1 and 192.168.100.1. But I don't get any internet connection when I do that.

The modem is currently bridged with my NETGEAR N600 WNDR3700 Router. Whenever I forward ports on the NETGEAR router, they don't seem to go through the modem. I've been using "canyouseeme.org" to check if the ports are open. The connection always times out.

I've made sure that the ports are going through Windows Firewall, and that they're connected to the right PC in my NETGEAR router's control panel.

Does anyone know how I can get my ports to go through, or even better, how I can get into the modem?

Can you confirm that your modem is in bridge mode? If you plug directly into the modem you should get a public IP.

If it is in bridge mode then the port forwarding problem is likely your Netgear or the ISP may be blocking that port inbound. What port # is it?

I also had problems with that Technicolor gateway comcast provides. Port forwarding never worked correctly and bridge mode didn't work well. The bridge mode issue is caused by the switch chip used in the ethernet switch, every MAC is the same, including for the ATA. The ATA ends up pulling the public IP and you are left with no IP address available.

I got an Arris gateway from comcast and haven't had a problem since. I just took the Technicolor to the local store, said "it's broken, give me the arris please".

Get the arris gateway, hook it up, plug your computer directly into it, activate it, make sure you can surf, disconnect your computer, call comcast and have them disable wifi and enable bridge mode, plug your router in.

Follow those steps EXACTLY, or it won't work.

The Technicolor one is complete shit. I couldn't even bridge mine. Went back for an SMC.
My friend tested and coded parts of the Technicolor, which explains a lot.
