First of all, I am ordering a new PCI-X setup (3400+, KN8E-Deluxe, 2GB patriot), and have no idea what type of PCI-X card to get. First of all I'm looking from $100-200, that can run BF2, COD2, CS 1.6, EVE Online, games like that. Doesn't have to be perfect-o quality on all of them just need the best 'bang for the buck' card in that range. Another dilemma is ATI vs NVidia...while searching through Newegg I noticed there's only a couple 6800's and 6800GS's compared to ATI, as there were too many to choose from...x1600, x800pro, x800xl, x800gto, x800xto2...which is the best of all of these? And what manuf. do you all recommend? Thanks guys!!!

well its pci-e not pci-x. pci-x is for servers. you should know this by now. for under $200 i would get the 6800gs.

6800GS, if you remember to overclock it.

The Radeon X800XL, while lacking SM3.0 support (only 'Age of Empires 3' cares so far), is much faster than the 6800GS stock. And it's much cheaper, as well - around $150 in [H]'s and Anandtech's "For Sale/Trade" sections.

Only thing is that the X800XL doesn't overclock worth a damn, while the 6800GS overclocks like a fiend, pulling well ahead of the X800XL when both are pushed to their limits.
