Help with cat5e cable

Ok so long story short I have access to as much cat5e cable as I need, so i got a couple hundred feet this weekend to run from my modem(downstairs) to my pc and 360(upstairs). Ive never cut my own cat5e cable before but read up on the order there supposed to slide into the connector. Ive tried three different configurations now and none of them seem to work . Can somebody give me the order the individual cables are supposed to be in from left to right if the contact points are facing up. Thanks
