Help with Case Fans

Are there faqs on case fans or is this a no brainer topic?

I wanted to buy some silent 80mm and 120mm fans that can move an optimal amount of air.

Do all the fans come in the same dimensions?
And just because it has fancy leds does that mean it is good/bad?

I see on newegg there's a bunch of different types of fans...Hydrocool, bearing, turbine, etc.
can someone explain what i should look for?

Lights dont mean anything.

How bout recommendations in what to look for in buyin a fan?

Just look at dBA? and CFM? or is more than just a numbers game?
However don't these variables change if you have a fan controller?

Define optimal

Aerocool Turbine 120mm fans move 37.44CFM at only 19.66DBA
80mm fans my choice would be the Arctic Cooling which move 28CFM

Not huge airflow, but as close to silent as you'll get....

Check out Silent PC Review for info on quiet fans. You'll find lots of reading on what makes a quality/quiet fan, but not too much on pretty lights, etc.

I have the new Antec P180...I was asking on that forum, but didn't get any feedback

couldn't i get something with incredible airflow and using a fan controller just turn down the speed when i don't need high cfm and turn it up when i might

thanks for replies but the guys at the case modding forum finally put up some suggestions...or one actually. THe coolermaster UV fans. Guess i'm gonna bandwagon this one.
