I can get one of the following
GIGABYTE - GeForce 6800 Ultra DDR III 256MB AGP 8X - $500
Evga - GF 6800GT 256MB DDR3 AGP8X - $400
GAINWARD - FX 5700 Ultra960 DVI-DVI GS - $ 180
RADEON 9800PRO 256MB DDR - $150
Evga 128MB GeForce FX5700U DDR3 - $ 160

Which one should I pick to get good price/perf? I am leaning towards the 9800 Pro because it should be enough for my purpose (Warcraft, World of Warcraft, maybe Halo). But I am also thinking of going with the 6800 GT just to be future proof. I got a number of computers, so if i buy 9800, i can put it into another machine when/if x800/6800 price drops.

Help me!

First off, take those 5700s off the list. They're crap. If money's tight then I'd go for the 9800 Pro. If not, go for the 6800GT. If you can't quite afford the GT but you want something more than the 9800 then go for a plain old 6800.

No idea on the WoW performance, but my aiw9800pro had absolutely no problem running WC3 or Halo at 1280x1024.

I'd like to run games on 1600x1200 (DELL 2001FP). Can the 9800 Pro 256 Mb support this?

The newer the game the less likely this'll become, but it should handle WC 3 with no problem. WoW and Halo I'm not so sure about. I know Halo is a hog and requires a lot to run at high settings, but WoW not being out makes it hard to predict.
