Help with building a Shuttle style PC!

Hi guys,

My bro-in-law has decided to ditch his laptop and opt for a PC instead so he can finally start playing games. He asked me to build him a shuttle sized machine within his budget of £500.

I'm out of the loop when it comes to the shuttle form factor, so I'm turning to yourselves to assist with this one. He will only really be playing FPS titles, burning ripping music and surfing.

Let me know what you would recommend for the following:

Case (Incl.PSU)
CPU (Incl,Heatsink)
Mobo
RAM
GPU
HDD
DVDRW

The machine needs to be (hopefully) able to cater for most current games and somewhat futureproof (to allow upgrades in the future).

Are you wanting an actual shuttle? The only other way to get THAT small is with Mini ITX which at this point pretty much means the Zotac 9300 and the SG05.

If you mean an actual shuttle then they are built quite well and several models have the PSU and space to support a real GPU.
 
LGA 775 and future proof doesn't go together anymore. If that's what you are seeking, you would have to pay more money for the Shuttle i7 or buy a little bigger PC chassis that houses MATX boards.
