Not sure, for father, but i'm assuming 800-1000 dollars

No special features, although he wants to watch movies from his pc to tv. He doesn't
have an LCD so he will need a S-video hookup and audio cables.

Hi, my dad wants me to build him a computer, i've come up w/ a build so it will need critiquing.

Important to note, he wants to watch movies from this pc to his tv. He does not have a LCD, so he will need an S-Video Hookup. I did not choose a gfx card yet, becuase I wasn't sure what would be best. In addition, if he wants to watch movies that way, what would he need for audio? An additional cable I assume?

Any suggestions for better parts, good deals to save some cash, more towards the 800 dollar range the better.

In terms of audio cables, you'll probably just need a 3.5mm audio jack to 2RCA converter (Search for "3.5mm/RCA Audio Cables"):

I'm not sure if there is component on the tv, it's maybe a 6-7 year old HD ready, big screen. I'll have to ask him. Say there was component, what are the options.
