Help with barbs please

Hello, I am going to be purchasing the Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima Liquid Cooling Kit for my new build but wish to upgrade to a 360mm rad. The radiator I wish to purchase is the Danger Den Black Ice GT Stealth 360 Radiator. My question is what barbs should I use on the radiator? The tubing on this kit is 7/16'' ID or 5/8'' OD and they claim the tubes fit easily onto 1/2'' barbs. I'm sure this is rather simple but I know zero about barbs and which ones are good. Please help me out here. TIA!

The tubing on this kit is 7/16'' ID


This is a little smaller than 1/2" ID so a 1/2" Barb will work great. Heck I use 1/2" Barb Elbows on my 3/8" tubing. Comfortable snug fit.

I like the fatboy fittings from DD. 1/2" will work fine. The use of the rubber washers has really helped with barbs sealing. I remember using teflon tape and never want to go back to those days.

Appreciate it! I'm going to check those barbs out.

If anyone wants to suggest me some 360 rads in this thread that would be great too. The rad will need to fit in the front of my lian li pc-p80. Modifications can be made so a PA120.3 can fit but I'm not sure I need to go that far.
 
Hrmm what are you cooling again?

I have two black ice stealths in my setup. I put a box under my computer case and drilled two holes for tubing/cables. I have no problem keeping two gtx260's full coverage blocks, and i7 920 cooled. Idled at 39 load at 45. GTX idle around 40Ci believe.. load is 55C - my computer is out right now because of a PSU failure.


I just ordered a second pump to run two loops. One loop has chipset and cpu, other loop will be dual gtx260's.

Black Ice Stealths are very thin but seem to work fine. The swiftechs are good for the price but the best would have to be something like the following:

Feser TFC XChanger 360/420 - $260

You can get two swiftechs/black ice stealths for $130 total. Swiftech has the stackable radiators but I really wanted to run my seperate for best performance. Just built a box. Now my computer is 4' tall.

At first either just a i7 965 EE or 920... can't decide after everyone told me to just get the 920 if I am only going to OC to 4ghz. 975 just around the corner too :( :confused: Anyway it will mainly be for CPU and maybe in the future cooling my 295's but obviously not with just one of these swiftech's. I think I will just hook one black ice stealth up on my processor and call it good for now. Thanks again for the info.

By the way how do these barbs look... they dont carry the fatboy and I prefer not to make a separate order another place just for them. Looks like they have the rubber stopper and they are DD.
