I have a Western Digital 160 hd in my ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard. I had an Antec Tru Power 430w ps and bought a new Antec Tru Power 550w ps and put it in. After I put it in my pc would not boot past the bios screen. The motherboard would detect the hard drive as a 103 gb, 136 gb or just show garbage for the model number. Plus, now my A7N8X has stopped working..when it rains...it pours!!

Anyway, the hd will not even show up period now. I've put it in 3 different pc's and nothing will detect anything is there. It's getting power, because the hd is heating up.

Now the question...is there anyway to get this drive to show up? This sounds stupid, but I just did my taxes and did back them up, but I backed them up to the second partition on the same drive

Not that big of a deal, but sure would rather get that off there than start over.

I've got Disk Commander and ERD Commander...etc. but for any of these to work the pc must detect the hd...correct?

Thanks!
