hello guys...

I'm very sick of this problem. Basically i'm a techie guy. I've neva encountered this problem before. I clean installed WinXP. When the installation finishes and restarts the progress bar freezes on few runs. So i entered the safe mode and just thought of vga driver problem. So i removed the tnt2 winxp vga driver. So then it entered in normal mode but when it installs the driver back automatically the pc just freeze. I also have tried with different agp cards but getting the same freeze prob. Then i disabled the vga in device manager so its not hanging now since its not installing any drivers. I also have tried installing the latest agp INF from SIS but still prob. so now its just loads the basic driver of windows. my mobo is p4s333. when i enable the device it just hangs.. any guys have any sollutions..?? please help.

Just a suggestion, but maybe try to format and re-install again. I know it sounds stupid, but I have had a couple XPpro installs that just didn't take properly for some reason. Also check your BIOS and make sure primary vga is not set to PCI, not sure if that is default on your board or not, but have seen it that way on a couple others.

Just a question, are you running with overclocked values of the cpu or the ram? Because if yes, that might be the problem ...

nah man....... i'm running all in stock value................

It would be perfect if it will be possible to have another card similar to the one you own, and try it. I think the problem is actually your video card ...
If you can't find a friend or someone having a video card like you, any card on agp is good, just to see if it will work then. If everything is fine, then your card definetly needs to go to the graveyard, or in a happy case ... to the doctor.

he says he's tried it with other agp cards too, still the same thing. Think that's pointing toward a motherboard problem.

Oh yes, my bad, I didn't read carefully ...
And yes, I second that, I tend to think that it's from the mb ...
