Hello,
I just setup an IP35 PRO, and I have 1 SATA HD, and an IDE CD-ROM, and a floppy drive.

I formatted the HD, but nothing I do can get it to boot.
I tried to install Windows XP from booting from CD, it copies files to the HD, but when it reboots, it says "disk boot failure, please insert a boot disk and press any key"

So I even tried to format again and install DOS, and same deal.

When I boot from floppy to DOS, I can see all the files and access the drive just fine, but it just will not boot!

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Have you looked at all of your advanced BIOS settings? I'd have to check but I'm pretty sure on my board you have to specifically tell it to boot off the SATA controller instead of the regular boot order menu.

On the Abit boards, you just have to select SATA HD in the boot order menu to get it to look at the SATA controller. It sort of sounds like a defective drive, have you tried using the manufacturer's utilities to verify the drive's health.
