Help with a decision

I've been away from all the hardware reviews for the longest time. Just recently I've started reading up a little bit because I'm deciding on a new video card.

The games I play or wish to play are:

DemiGod
Crysis
FarCry 2
Fallout3
Race Driver GRID

My current setup scores 15,1XX in 3dMark06.

The rig is in my sig... the display is a Samsung 20.1 so I run at 1680x1050 and would love to have all the goodies turned up.

My decision is between an nVidia 275 or a Radeon 4890. Consider the minimal price difference between the two is not even a factor.

Please share your thoughts.. thanks!
 
Thanks - I've actually read all the reviews by Guru3D.

PhysX is interesting - I do currently have an 8800GTS which could be used for PhsyX, but I wonder if my 16x / 4x PCIe slots on my Asus P5K-E will work?

I'm very curious about the Radion 4980 also because I haven't owned an ATi card since the 9800Pro.. and they're holding their own - plus I wouldn't mind contributing to their well-being.. we need them to stay to keep prices low.
 
I prefer ATI, and with those two cards you mentioned the performance is close enough that it boils down to personal choice.

For me, if the ATI uses less juice then it makes it the better purchase, but I don't know the wattage numbers for either one off the top of my head.
 
I would get the ati at that price point. I am guessing your mobo is not crossfire or sli though, otherwise you would need to make the decision based on that.
