im having a "brick wall" problem...i cant seem to get my system stable at anything over 3.6ghz, the motherboard is in my sig, and m3n78-vm, its got most of the overclocking features but it wont let me raise the voltage any higher then 1.45v, i feel safe going up to 1.55 and i think that will fix it but im not 100% sure. at 3.6ghz and 1.4v i can run prime95 large ffts for maximum heat for about 5 min before it fails, at 1.45 it runs for my full stability test (20min) anything less and it will fail in seconds but even at stock i can do almost anything except run prime95 large fft's.
my real questions are, Can i get this to 4ghz, it boots and i can play around at 4ghz but if i leave it for about 15 min it will get the bsod and if i run prime95 it just bsod's. and is there any way i can increase the voltage more to find out if it is the voltage holding it back? I also dont know what most of the cpu settings are, like the virtual machine setting and the prefetching setting, there are a couple more but i cant remember them
one more thing is that i can only change the voltage from stock 1.35 to 1.4 to 1.45, no in between settings at all, same with northbridge votages
