i just upgraded from a 5770 to a 6870. rest of system specs are in my sig. i intend to game at 1920x1080. i haven't gamed much since bfbc2 was still "fresh" so it's been awhile. :p

i'm wondering what a good baseline would be as far as what settings to use under 3d application settings in ccc?

right now i have:

does this look about right? or are there any settings i should change? i'd like to maximize image quality but still keep all games at a playable fps (around 60-ish probably?) at my intended res. i don't typically use a ton of aa. from game to game i'll most likely only use 4x.

Looks good, but you may want to not use morphological filtering. At 1080p, I don't think aggressive or enhanced anti-aliasing is going to make it much better, unles your monitor is quite large.

If you prefer the best image you can get, those settings need to be changed.

Disable Morphological AA and only use it for games that doesn't support MSAA, using a game profile.

Anisitropic filtering, I would uncheck Use application settings and move the slider to 16x. Some games don't have in-game AS filtering and this way you force it in those games which greatly cleans up texture detail at a distance.

Texture filtering quality should be high quality, not just standard quality, move the slider to the right and uncheck enable surface format optimization.

Anti-aliasing mode also needs to be moved to the right to adaptive AA.
