Hi,
I am going to build a new pc. Now I using a hp computer. (P4 - 1.5GHz). Which processor should I get P4 3.0 , 3.2 or 3.4 GHz?
I want to play new games and little bit of video edititng. I am not in to over clocking. If I get a 3.2 GHz pro , am I going to see any big difference over 2.8 or 3.0 ghz pro. Please help me. Thanks.

I'd have to reccomend the 3.2 at this point, because I always like to get 1 behind the fastest so its not as god awful expensive. Just a word to the wise, don't get the A, B, E or EE versions. Get the C

Theres nothing wrong with E or EE. But the difference is E's are too hot. The heat issues can cause problems and the processors are a little slower per clock cycle than the C version.

EE's are based on the Xeon Gallatin core. These processors KICK ASS. However the price difference on them is about 50% more. So the price/performance ratio is WAY off base. So unless you have money to burn the EE's are just overpriced pieces of silicon.

A 3.0C is a great performer for a great price. The 3.2's aren't that much faster but cost a bit more. So that's a decision for you. If your considering overclocking I would choose the 3.0C.
