Dear homiez,

I am going to get a new LCD Panel. It'll be my first LCD ever. I am undecidable between 3 of these models.

[1] DELL 2005FPW (550 USD)
[2] Acer Ferrari F20 (599 USD)
[3] ViewSonic VP930B (520 USD)

There are only 3 options above for me to choose at my place. I know the price I got is damn high but they are at my place :(. My main uses will be gaming (with my X850XT) and graphic designing (but not at an extremely professional level).

I do mind about the highest image and color quality, HD ready (if 1 of those 3 has) :p . I dont mind about extra bling bling features such as tiny speakers, remote control, blah blah and dont believe what CNET said :D.

Finally, if you were me, which would y'all go for?

Thanks a lot for all of your ideas and recommendations. ;)

Sounds like you have a strange situation, because yes those prices are obscene.

The F20 has a glossy screen, so if you don't have a light controlled room to avoid reflections, you can scratch it off first thing. If your room is light controlled I'd say this is the best monitor on your list.

If you don't want glossy, it then becomes a question of whether you want widescreen. If you're doing graphic design you probably do, so then I'd go with the 2005FPW.

those all seem kinda expensive look on newegg.com for their 20 inch widescreen you can get one i think its the BENQ for 295 and free shipping..

why can u buy online?

if you want to do grapics make sure u get an 8bit panel, not a 6bit.

Thank you for all of your replies.

For sure homiez, those price are kinda unacceptable but I must accept it coz I have no choice. I think I am far from newegg.com a half-round of this planet :D . That's my case.

I am not sure about 8-bit and 6-bit. Would you guys show me which of those 3 above is 8bit or 6bit?

I am kinda leaning to the F20. I hope this suitable for my uses

Dell makes very nice cheap monitors. I'd go for the 2007WFP, the newer version of the 2005FPW.

I know this fact but I only got those 3 choices above. Nothing else for me, my mates :(

Acer Ferrari and the Dell 2005FPW have a S-IPS panel, which is the best panel (IMO).

The acer has 8ms, while the dell has 16ms. The acer also has the glossy screen and the HDCP stuff (If Im not mistaken). Also newer technology and looks the sex.

The VP30, has a P-MVA panel, which is the same as used in a VX2025.

I would go for the Acer or Dell.

NEC 20WMGX2 is the best 20 wide monitor on the market for gaming and photo work. Hands down.

Okay for the MILLIONTH TIME he can ONLY GET WHAT HE SAID ABOVE - he obviously does not have access to other monitors due to his location.
