I have my x800XT and I would like to place the Artic Cooling 4 on it that I bought, the thing is now that the screws on the back of the card were very tight, so dam tight that they never unscrewed, but unfortunately the screws were screwed(no pun intended). How the hell do I get these dam screws off now? The screw driver seems worthless now. Someone plz help, thx.
 
Well you could always drill them out however that is risky business. Your best bet is to maybe RMA the card and get a new one. Not sure if that is shady or not but I would think that is the only way. Basically the heads on the screws are stripped correct? Can you twist them with a pliers?
 
Please describe the situation in a bit more detail. How exactly is the heatsink fastened? Do the screws go directly into the heatsink, or are there bolts on the other side? Are the heads of the screws stripped?

I looked up a picture of the X800XT (http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/X800XTdhreview/R420_AGP.jpg) and it looks like at lease some of the screws go right into the plastic... perhaps you could remove the plastic part and see what's underneath? Maybe be extremely careful with a pair of narrow pliers?
 
I would say don't bother trying to install it. You might lower the card's overall temps by a few degrees, but your not going to be able to overclock the card any higher as a result. Tampering with an already fast, functioning card is just asking for trouble.

Probably leave it alone and don't install the Arctic. Too dangerous, now.

Next, so you don't do this again, go to Home Depot and buy one of those little cases of jewellers screwdrivers. Your problem was almost certainly caused by using a screwdriver head too big for the job.
