I've currently got a system that's 2 years old. It's starting to annoy me when it gets slow doing normal, everyday type tasks. While I play The Sims 2 occasionally, I don't really do any gaming. Should I just leave it alone, or what should I change?

2.4C P4
2x256mg PC 3200 RAM
Abit IS7 mobo
SB Live soundcard
Radeon 9600 Pro

That's the guts of it

i would say add 512mb ram, and then the video card. Processor OK for another year or so............

Get a gig of RAM goin and then if you have more cash get a better video card like the man above me said.

um just making sure, have you defragmented lately? scanned for adware?
(guide for adware: http://forums.csnation.net/showthread.php?threadid=10055)
and what about viruses? have you hit ctrl+alt+delete and checked how much memory windows is eating up? Also, make sure you are NOT running on page files... if you are, that is probably what is causing slow down..

What does it mean to run on page files? I definately have a bunch of page file usage right now , would more RAM fix that?
