Ok. I hope someone here knows what is wrong with my system. Here is my problem...

My computer will freeze up randomly in or out of games (counter strike, diablo2, wc3)
but the wierd thing is... when im in the game everything locks up but the game itself keeps playing with out me. like in diablo i can see ppl fighthing around me and it all looks fine i myself cant do anything though. And in counter strike when it happens the last key i used on my keyboard is the only thing that will happen.... like if i was moving left thats the way i will go untill i hit a wall or something.

Things i have tried:

Mem test
taking out my sound card and using onboard sound
new keyboard

Also i have all the windows updates and latest drivers

If anyone can help me that would be great.

if everything else keeps working and you can't move then it's either a keyboard lucking up or the mouse lucking up. see if there is an update for either of these. I had a similar problem and it was a mouse idriver issue. Other then that I personaly can't think of anything else. good luck.

Are you using USB or PS2 devices?

Are you plugging directly into the back of the PC or is there something in between such as a KVM switch or a USB hub?

If using a PS2 keyboard and mouse, try using a USB solution. If using USB, try PS2.

If you make the swap and its still broken, its gotta be your drivers. Uninstall any software you can find relating to your mouse and keyboard, then try reinstalling them or just using generic drivers.
