Ok, for some reason I can't get the 3D preview to work in catalyst 6.9. Also when I boot up, the screen goes black for a second when Catalyst turns on. Is this normal?
 
The black screen isn't anything to worry about but the display in the CCC should work. I cant remember if there is a setting to turn it on or off but i would look for one.
 
I would D/L Driver cleaner and do a fresh install. of the 6.9's or you could try the Beta 6.10's

I think you'll find you have all kinds of annoying problems if you don't run driver cleaner before installing a newer version.
