I thought I had it, but I didnt. This is ticking me off to no end.
Here's the problem.
I now own a GeForce 6800GT PCI-Express. Now, ever since ive gotten it, (since ive made my new build) ive always had a problem with problems in different games.
here is what I did.
In one of my last posts, I metioned fixing some flickering problems in FFXI. Sure enough, the flickering problems ended due to an answer a person wrote saying that I should turn on my Vertical-Sync settings. So, on my Ge-Force, I turned on the Vertical-Sync from ON from the previously set "Application Controlled". (reason I put it to always on is becuase Final Fantasy XI doesn't have a Vertical-Sync option in there graphic config.
Sure enough, I ran into another problem. The other games I play. My High-FPS First Person shooters. CS:S, Battlefield Vietnam, and UT2004. These, I got low framerates. Why? Becuase (most likely) I turned Vertical Sync to always on from again, the previous "Application Controlled".
I tried toggling the "wait for vertical sync" option in CS:S to "enabled" but it really did not do much.
I have no clue what to do here, this just does not make any sense. I just want it to end, and so I dont have to worry about the garbage anymore with this graphic stuff.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE HELP!
I really appreciate ANY help you guys give
Thanks,
Matt
