Hi, I got a BFG 6800OC today and installed it using the 66.93 drivers from the NVidia site. I want to see if this card can go to the 16 pipes and 6 shaders.

I went thru the procedures to put checkmarks by the hardware items in RivaTuner, and thought I enabled everything, but my benchmark scores are about the same as before.

When I load up RivaTuner, it says 12x1,5vp, but when I hit "customize" and look at the NVStrap Driver tab, the Graphics Processor Configuration is listed as "custom (16x1,6vp). But again, my 3DMark scores are almost identical as before I did the RivaTuner mods. Is there some way my changes are not taking effect? Any ideas?

2 other things that might be part of my problem. When I load RivaTuner (ver. 2.0 RC 15.2) it says it hasn't been tested with my drivers and to get a newer version, but AFAIK, this is the most recent. Also, when going into the NVStrap section, bit 03 and bit 12 (the ones I checked) are in a "disabled state". How do I enable them, other than putting a check mark, which is already there?

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!
Aaron

Did you click install to install the driver right below the customize button? I have the same card as you and I unlocked both with no problem.

I believe I did click INSTALL, cause now I just have "reinstall" and "uninstall" buttons.

Here are some screenshots, incase it helps anyone.

Weird... Did it ask you to reboot after you put the check marks on?

Yep, I've rebooted several times. Do you think it's worth setting things back to default, rebooting, then trying everything again? Does everything else in the screenshots look ok?

i'm getting the same problem, still working on figuring it out. what drivers do you guys use because i'm getting all sorts of light flickering with 67.xx in 3dmark05, far cry, and doom iii

I used the latest drivers.

I don't have a clue :(. I did exactly what you did and mine got enabled. Try to reset it back to defaults reboot and then try to re-enable it. Good Luck.

*edit* Yup, you did... in this case.. I have no idea :p

Have you enabled "Allow hardware mask"?

Well, I think I may have found the answer to my problem. I stumbled upon the RivaTuner forum at Guru3d and the top sticky there is dealing with the exact same problem. Bummer. The RivaTuner developer is there and he may think that NVidia got wise to this softmodding thing and is now hard wiring, or something like that. It's a little over my head, but I seem to be SOL.
