Help!! Trouble updating processor

i have a sn85g4v3 with amd64 3000+ 2gb kingston + sapphire x1950 pro (socket 754)

ive bought a 3700+ cpu but when i put it into socket, my barebone doesnt start.
motherboard starts but theres no videosignal, no beep and i cant enter to bios

if i go back and use 3000+ again, barebone starts.

i have tried to reset bios but doesnt work.
i have tried to change videocard
i have tried to change ram
bios is updated.

do you think its damaged?

um well does the barebones support the 3700?, it might be too big, if one of ur friends has a 754 cpu faster than 3000, ask him if u can check if it will work in ur comp

yes, its supported

ill try it. possibly, psu is too weak

does it shutdown a short while later after you boot up? is the heatsink making good contact with the cpu?

The trouble was the cpu was an engineering sample cpu
now i have a 3400 newcastle (2400 mhz too but 512 cache) and it works great.

barebone shuttle sn85g4v3
3400 newcastle 2400 mhz
sapphire ati x1950pro 512
2gb kingston value ram
psu shuttle 240 W

it works great!!!
