Help tracking down a computer case company....

Years ago I knew of a computer case company that did high-end fancy computer cases. I remember they had a small form factor case that looked similar to a shuttle, and they also sold a computer case that was basically a table on wheels with a clear top so that you could view the computer's internals. If I remember correctly, they also at one point sold desk through newegg that cost a few grand, but did not house a computer at all, just looked fancy. I could be wrong, but I was always under the impression they used some type of automotive paint for their cases as well, and almost all of them were mirror-finish quality.

I know this isn't much to go on, but I'm hoping the desk-thats-really-a-computer-case will narrow things down a bit. I could have sworn the companies name began with an S, and thought Soltek might have been it, but, alas, that does not seem to be it.
 
I find it unlikely that a company would make a ''desk'' that just looks cool with no apparent purpose whatsoever. I may be wrong, however.

Have you tried asking Google? I hear he knows all material things...
 
I believe Soldam is the company you are looking for. From what I can gather, they went bankrupt a couple of years ago but are back now and only making "normal" cases. Here is a link to the clear top table you mentioned.

A desk with no apparent purpose? All desks have an inherent purpose - you put things on them. I can't find the specific desk in question, but Soldam does indeed make furniture. Here's a link to some of their desks, which seem to serve no other purpose than....being desks:
